Lisa A. Jacobowitz, Esq.
Lisa A. Jacobowitz is of counsel to the Law Office of Joblin C. Younger, P.C. where she focuses her practice in the area of family law, encompassing all aspects of divorce, custody, visitation and support. Lisa also drafts and reviews prenuptial and mediated agreements. While Lisa no longer litigates outside of the Collaborative Practice framework, her current focus is on mediation, for those clients who wish to resolve issues in a private setting and outside the bounds of traditional adversarial practice.Lisa is a graduate of New York University and Vermont Law School. In 1983 Lisa began her career in Salem, Massachusetts where she practiced until the founding of Gilmore and Jacobowitz, LLP in 1989. For many years, Lisa has been involved in the local community serving on the boards and executive committees of various organizations including the Beverly Chamber of Commerce, Health and Education Services, the United Way of the Central North Shore, Project Rap and the Salem Academy Charter School of which she was a founding member.
Lisa has been in a leadership role in many legal organizations and was honored to be the first woman to serve as president of the Salem Bar Association in 1989. For most of her career Lisa has been a member of the Massachusetts, Essex County and Salem Bar Associations, the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation and the North Shore Women Lawyers Association.
